Necttos Pvt. Ltd. provides an education ERP and academic operations platform for institutions, staff, students, and parents. This policy explains how Necttos collects, uses, discloses, protects, and retains information processed through the Necttos platform, mobile applications, and public website.

Information We Collect

Necttos may collect account details, institutional identifiers, admission records, register numbers, date of birth, subjects, marks, attendance, examination data, fee records, uploaded documents, precise device location evidence (latitude, longitude, accuracy, and timestamp) for enabled attendance or physical-presence workflows, verification status, consent logs, device/session information, communication records, and standard technical logs.

Academic And Student Data

Academic records are processed to support institutional workflows configured by the subscribing institution. Necttos acts as a data processor for student records; the institution remains responsible for the purposes and lawful basis of processing.

Location Data And Background Location

The Necttos mobile application may access precise device location when a user uses an institution-enabled location workflow, such as campus attendance validation, capturing an authorized campus or library boundary, or optional Library Auto Entry and Exit. Library Auto Entry requires a clear in-app disclosure and the user's foreground and background ("Always") location permission. When the user enables it, Necttos checks location while the app is not in use to determine whether the device crosses the saved library boundary and to record the corresponding Library IN or OUT event.

Continuous location history is not stored or uploaded. Only location evidence for an accepted IN or OUT transition, an attendance validation, or a user-initiated boundary capture — including latitude, longitude, accuracy, and timestamp — may be sent to Necttos and retained with the related institutional record. Location data is used only for the disclosed institutional attendance, physical-presence, boundary-validation, security, and audit purposes; it is not used for advertising and is not sold. It is available only to the relevant institution and authorized users, necessary service providers operating the platform, or authorities where legally required. Users can decline optional background automation, disable it in Necttos, or revoke location permission in device settings; disabling it stops background location checks.

DigiLocker / API Setu Verification

For institutions that enable verified academic document workflows, Necttos uses consent-based integrations such as DigiLocker/API Setu after required institutional and provider approvals are in place. Necttos never requests or stores DigiLocker passwords, OTPs, or provider login credentials. Authentication occurs only on the official provider consent screen.

Necttos receives only the document references, issuer metadata, verification status, timestamps, document hashes, parsed academic fields, and documents that the student explicitly authorizes for the disclosed academic verification purpose.

OCR And Uploaded Documents

Uploaded marksheets or certificates may be processed using OCR to extract academic details for student or institutional review. OCR output is assistive and may require human confirmation before use as verified data.

Use And Sharing

Information is used to operate admissions, academics, attendance, examinations, finance, IQAC, verification, reporting, audit, support, and security workflows. Necttos does not sell personal data. Data is shared only with the institution, authorized users, required service providers, consented verification platforms, or legal authorities where required.

Security And Retention

Necttos uses HTTPS/TLS, role-based access, authentication controls, audit logging, restricted internal access, and monitoring. Records are retained according to institutional, academic, statutory, audit, and operational requirements.

Rights And Contact

Students and institutional users may request access, correction, consent withdrawal for optional integrations, or grievance escalation subject to applicable law and institutional record obligations. Contact: contact@necttos.com.
